One of the frustrations of building a home audio system is that it can be a chore to get all the components to work together. Klipsch wants to make that easier and more affordable.
Unboxing and first look of the Klipsch Flexus Sound System | This was not what I expected!
The company announced Monday that it is releasing the Flexus Sound System, a line of sound bars, speakers and subwoofers created in partnership with high-end receiver manufacturer Onkyo. The Flexus system includes the Core 100 and Core 200 sound bars, the Surr 100 wireless surround sound speakers and the Flexus Sub 100 wireless subwoofer.
The Core 100 Soundbar is 2.1 channels with HDMI eARC, optical, and USB-C inputs, plus Bluetooth. It’s just 28 inches long and features “high-efficiency 2.25-inch aluminum drivers and dual 4-inch built-in subwoofers,” according to the press release. The suggested retail price for this soundbar is $439.
The 3.1.2-channel Core 200 Soundbar is a little larger at 44 inches and of course a bit more expensive at $499. It has Dolby Atmos, two 2.25-inch elevation drivers, four front-facing 2.25-inch aluminum drivers, and two built-in 4-inch subwoofers.
