Lawrence spends his time writing, editing, and trying (unsuccessfully) to get his cat to pay attention to him.

Lawrence has been immersed in the buzzing world of tech journalism since 2007, when he manned the tech column for a bona fide print newspaper. He graduated from Florida State University (go Noles) and his work has appeared in Engadget, Huffington Post, Mediate, and too many blogs to list.

When it comes to gaming, I have a long-life gaming laptop, a Quest 2, a Nintendo Switch, a dusty first-gen PS4, and a Steam Deck on the way. For work, I have various Macbooks and a desktop iMac Pro. I’m obsessed with music tech, so in my spare time you’ll find me messing around with softsynths, plugins, various DAWs, and grooveboxes. I’m an Apple Logic Pro guy, but have a lot of experience with Ableton, Maschine, and more recently UA’s Luna.
