It’s easy to get lost in Google Image Search, clicking on the same image over and over again. But Google’s latest update hopes to teach you more about the images you’re looking at.

What's the update? On the Google blog, Search Software Engineer Angela Wu explains that the update will introduce "fast facts" about the people, places, or things related to the images you search for, provided you're on a mobile device and are in the U.S.
What it means to you: Ever wonder why your local high school or parks have the names they do? With this new feature, search for an image of the location and Google will give you additional information about the person it’s named after or the event that inspired the name.
