After Riot suggested that the next League champion in line for a rework would appear in the upcoming Arcane Season 2 , we may have finally found out who it is. A new leak claims it’s Viktor, a veteran of the League of Legends roster that has remained largely unchanged for 13 years.

On July 28, League of Legends Leaks and News posted the leak on X (formerly Twitter), claiming that Viktor will be receiving a rework in the form of a VGU (Visual and Gameplay Update) and that it will "celebrate the release of Arcane Season 2 later this year." If true, Viktor's VGU will launch sometime after the series' second season begins on November 2, which is just three months away.
Riot Games previously hinted that a new rework was in development for a champion set to appear in the upcoming season of Arcane. This hint first circulated back in January of this year, meaning the update has been in the works for a while. We initially thought it was Singed, who is in desperate need of a change and has literally stayed the same since he first saw the light of day in 2009. If the leaks turn out to be true, Singed will once again be sitting in the dust, waiting for someone to finally give him a much-needed overhaul.
Viktor has also been relatively the same for quite some time now. The champion was first introduced in 2011 and generally plays similarly to how he did over a decade ago. Compared to Singed, however, Viktor remains quite popular and an effective choice in low and high elo play, although he could still use a major shakeup.
