Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (Gen 2) in 2023 – Still Worth Buying?
The P11 Pro is Lenovo’s latest attempt at a truly premium Android-based tablet. And while the build quality and spec sheet make a compelling argument for the “Pro” distinction, the experience of using the tablet itself leaves something to be desired. To be fair, the Android tablet market isn’t exactly a reliable one, forcing users to either dive deep into budget Kindle Fire territory or shell out big bucks for something from the Galaxy Tab S series.
While this P11 calls itself Pro, it’s probably a little more at home in the mid-range of the market. To see just how capable this $500 Android tablet is, I put it through the usual tests for a few weeks. Read on for my first-hand thoughts.
The first thing that struck me when I unboxed the P11 Pro was how seriously Lenovo is taking the hardware experience in this war of the tablets. Step back from the protective packaging and you’ll find a device that bears a striking resemblance to the design language of both the Galaxy Tab S7 and iPad Pro lines. It’s a premium, dark gray, aluminum unibody design with some offset antenna lines and a very Lenovo-esque dual-tone color scheme (there is one sliver on the back of the tablet that is a tiny bit darker gray).
