Amid major upheavals in the film market, Leone Film Group remains the leading Italian distributor of top-notch English-language independent films, in all genres, with titles from directors such as Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg.

But while Leone Film Group has historically relied on output deals with U.S. indies like Lionsgate and Spielberg’s Amblin, “today we deliver to whoever has a worthy product,” says Francesco Polimanti, head of acquisitions. That includes titles like the recent hit “Civil War,” starring Kirsten Dunst, “John Wick 4,” starring Keanu Reeves as the iconic assassin, and the upcoming “Dumb Money.”

Polimanti went bargain hunting in Cannes in May, where he picked up a trio from Black Bear Entertainment, including Guy Ritchie's next film, "Wife and Dog," set in the world of the British aristocracy. It's the fifth Ritchie-directed film to be released in Italy via Leone. The other two titles from Black Bear's LFG are the upcoming actioner "Mutiny," starring Jason Statham, and the provocative thriller "I Want Your Sex," starring Olivia Wilde.
