Elden Ring fans will have to pulverize a mountain to play the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, coming June 21, by defeating a dangerous optional boss. And things aren’t looking rosy for everyone, as less than half of the community has managed to accomplish the feat.
The real GIGACHAD of Elden Ring
If you thought you could ignore the Elden Ring's Starscourge Radahn and Mohg bosses and play through the DLC without too much trouble, you're in for a surprise. The developers announced on June 11 that there are less than two weeks to complete the achievement. After finishing the main questline, you'll need to defeat these fearsome optional bosses to qualify for the game's expansion.
At the time of writing, 37.8 percent of players on Steam who own Elden Ring have defeated Mohg, one of the most challenging late-game bosses. Meanwhile, on PlayStation, 54.67 percent of the player base has already emerged victorious, eagerly awaiting the DLC’s arrival. These players have proven their worth, and now it’s your turn to take up the challenge.
While finding Mohg in Mohgwyn Palace in the Sofria River area is an ordeal, his blood and fire magic mix makes him incredibly difficult to take down with starter builds, making him a worthy boss to gatekeeper the DLC. If you take him down quickly with a solid build, the shardbearer isn’t too difficult to deal with, but if you prolong your fight and give yourself time, he’ll drain your health while increasing his health bar to make him harder to take down.
