LG continues to release its 4K CineBeam projectors, including the latest model, the HU915QE, which features Ultra Short Throw (UST) technology.
The Truth About Switching to a Projector! [120” 4K Laser Ultra Short Throw]
With UST, the projector can be placed very close to the wall and still produce a high-quality image. At two inches from the wall, you can enjoy a 90-inch image at 4K resolution, or 120 inches at a distance of approximately seven inches.
You may recall that LG added two 4K projectors to its CineBeam lineup earlier this year. The new model is essentially a beefed-up version of those two. Not only can the HU915QE get much closer to the wall, but it also has a more powerful 40W subwoofer.
It’s also much brighter, with 3,700 ANSI lumens from a 3-channel laser. Improvements to the picture quality come from a combination of HDR Dynamic Tone Mapping to automatically adjust brightness frame by frame and Adaptive Contrast to change the projector’s light output based on the scene.
