Sony is developing an adaptive gaming controller for its popular PS5 console to help people with motor disabilities join in on the fun. Now there are even more options for gamers, with Logitech announcing an add-on for Sony's own kit.
Logitech G Adaptive Gaming Kit
In a blog post about Sony's Access controller development, the company announced Logitech's own Adaptive Gaming Kit for the Access controller.
The Logitech Accessory Kit was developed in collaboration with Sony and the accessibility community, and offers more options for an even wider range of needs among the community of gamers who require controller adaptations. Of course, Sony isn’t the only (or even the first) to do something like this. Microsoft’s Xbox also has its own adaptive controller.
“While the Access Controller was designed as an out-of-the-box solution for many players with disabilities, there is a wide spectrum of different needs within the accessibility community,” wrote Hideaki Nishino, senior vice president of Sony Interactive Entertainment. “Today, we’re also excited to introduce the Logitech G Adaptive Gaming Kit for Access Controller, an official accessory kit developed by Logitech in collaboration with our SIE team and the accessibility community.”
