Logitech Z623 Review | Is It Worth It?
The Logitech Z623 is pretty much the definition of a standard mid-range computer speaker, consisting of two 200W satellite speakers driven by a small subwoofer. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, as they get loud and produce fairly clear audio. It’s more than enough to satisfy the multimedia needs of the average user who plans on using it for movies and gaming, though more dedicated audiophiles may turn their noses up.
At this point, Logitech has a formula for its computer speakers. You get two fairly attractive satellite speakers connected to a subwoofer. The only difference with the Logitech Z623 is that everything is a bit bigger. Each satellite speaker is 7.7 inches high and 5 inches thick, and the subwoofer is massive, at 11.2 inches high and 12 inches wide.
While that does make for some seriously thumping bass (we’ll get to that later), it also means these speakers are a pain to move. The subwoofer, for example, weighs a whopping 15.4 pounds. These are the kind of speakers you don’t want to move more than once.
