In an effort to prevent the top lane from becoming so "non-interactive" in League of Legends Season 14, the Riot Games Balance Team is putting their heads together to (re)work the Teleport Summoner spell and save the lane.

Teleport has changed many times over the past decade of League, and now it’s back on the chopping block. This time around, Riot is concerned about how easily good top laners can “wash” lanes with the Rift-hopping spell and wants to minimize its power and presence.
“It’s been a long time coming,” League Balance Chief Matt “Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison admitted on July 8, “but we are looking into changes to Teleport.”
There are two tricky parts to Phroxzon’s balance plan as the League team tinkers with Teleport ahead of the 2024 World Championship. First, sweeping changes in Season 14 could easily send the metagame back to the “bot lane party” problem, with Teleport allowing tanky top laners to be dropped straight into the two-vs-two lane at will, a state Riot is desperate to avoid. And second, the team hasn’t been able to crack the puzzle in testing.
