There are some Faker supporters who condemn the heavy toxicity and criticism, stating that the 28-year-old struggles with a lot of mental issues that can actually be seen on stage. After a recent loss to Gen.G, for example, the superstar mid laner was seen hitting his head against the wall in the player booth until he had to be physically restrained by his teammates.
Faker has long been known as the best player in the world and the GOAT of the league, and as a result, expectations have been built for him and his forever organization, T1. However, these expectations can breed a lot of toxicity when things don’t go their way, with fans even going so far as to send promotional trucks to the team’s headquarters in Seoul.
However, there is a large portion of League fans who believe that some Faker supporters are too soft because they have not been exposed to the true nature of sports fandoms. For them, criticism is valid for any player in the scene, even the best in the world.
