Riot Games has revealed T1 mid laner Faker's full commemorative skin bundle in honor of his induction into the League of Legends Hall of Legends. Fans are not happy with the price tag attached to the bundle.
Faker's $500 Skin is f@*king ridiculous
While there are many tiers of content you can purchase when it comes to the new Risen Legend Faker skins, the “Immortalized Legend Ahri” bundle starts at 32,000 RP, and the Signature Edition of that bundle – which includes everything added in Faker’s Hall of Legends pass – costs exactly 59,260 RP, which roughly translates to $450.
Players in the League community have spent the better part of the last few hours since Riot made the announcement trying to pick their jaws up from the floor, as the price of these skins is remarkably high. While the base version of the bundle costs around $40, the jump in price tag from tier to tier is staggering, with the next-highest version of the “Immortalized Legend” bundle costing nearly $300 in RP. For reference, the Risen Legend LeBlanc bundle you earn via the Hall of Legends Pass costs 1,950 RP, or roughly $20.
“The problem is that Riot is tying these cosmetics into a bundle,” a League player named BucketHerro said on Reddit. “The other cosmetics in the bundle [shoot] up in price, but when you look at the contents, you’re still getting a good value. If Riot decided to let us buy the skins separately, then there wouldn’t be a problem.”
