Some Summoner Spells in League of Legends are better than others, and even the devs know that. In a recent stream, Riot Games' August said that he doesn't like Teleport, but that he knows it's a crucial part of the game.

August admitted that he is not a fan of the spell, but he believes it is too important for League top laners. He emphasized that it gives them a huge advantage over opponents who choose Ignite, as they return to the lane faster and compensate for the lost minions and experience.
"I personally really don't like TP. I don't like that TP. As a defensive Summoner's Spell, you take it, you win your lane," August said. "What happens with TP, especially with the death timer changes, is you're all into someone with Ignite, and they have TP. You lose because the TP goes back to the lane. And then you lose your lane, even though you killed them."
August finds it outrageous that a Teleport, theoretically a defensive spell, gives you an advantage over players who choose aggressive options like Ignite. But he also acknowledged how important the spell is to top laners, who rely on it. Top lane mains know that Teleports are necessary for split-pushing, ganking other lanes, and survival. "TP creates a lot of important things for the game, especially in terms of the top lane," August said.
