The owner of a League of Legends organization competing in the EMEA Masters 2024 Spring signed up on April 20, and things turned out about as badly as you might expect.
EMEA Masters secured! 🥳🎺
Zero Tenacity, a League team from the Polish Ultraliga, was 0-5 down in their group at EMEA Masters. With no chance of promotion, the organization’s owner Dimitrije “Hebihime” Malesevic decided to replace himself in the mid lane. With the 26-year-old in that position, Z10 lost their final match against Los Heretics and ended up 0-6 in their group.
After the loss of "gumba stomped", Hebihime shared his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter) and responded to fan comments. He indicated that the decision had nothing to do with the performance of mid laner Emre "Kofte" Akça. "I'm a mid laner, I had to replace mid. I hate jungle(rs), bot lane is too hard. Melonik is melonik. Me joining is not and has nothing to do with Kofte," he wrote.
Hebihime added that he "doesn't think for a second that I feel ashamed for stepping in and trying to bring about a desperate change." One fan responded by calling him "a joke, not a mid laner."
