Ever wanted to watch the Olympics, but with far fewer athletes competing? Well, Ludwig’s Streamer Games promises just that, with content creators competing in Olympic events—and a number of new competitions created for the event.
Ludwig announces streamer games
Co-founded by offbrand, the production company Ludwig co-founded with friends in the streaming and esports production space, and Red Bull, Ludwig’s Streamer Games already boasts an impressive lineup that includes the likes of Disguised Toast, Valkyrae, LilyPichu, and Jasontheween. And if the event trailer is anything to go by, we might even get to see some rhythmic gymnastics from Cloud9 Super Smash Bros. Melee legend Mang0, which should be worth the price of admission in itself.
imagine if i forced some gamers and streamers to participate in track and field competitions lolanyway see you on august 17-18 🥇 pic.twitter.com/AO5OQXkZzl
The trailer also reveals a few twists on the Olympic sports you’ll see at the Streamer Games. That includes Ludwig’s infamous tungsten cube, a humorous gift his chat bought him during one of his Amazon shopping spree streams. The Tungsten Cube Toss is an official Streamer Games event, and it’s no joke; the cube weighs 45 pounds and was last seen crashing straight through the roof of a Tesla. If Ludwig plans on using the same cube for the throw, it’ll be 29 pounds heavier than the ball used in the men’s Olympic shot put. Good luck with that, streamers.
