As always with new macOS, Monterey comes with a bunch of new features that will make your Mac more productive and easier to use. Here’s a quick list of all the major features that the macOS Monterey update brings.
macOS Monterey: Key New Features
If you own multiple Apple devices, Universal Control is the most significant update to macOS Monterey. This feature effectively lets you share a single keyboard and mouse across all of your devices, as long as they’re all close to each other.
You can move your mouse to the edge of your iMac or MacBook screen and then “push” it toward your iPad. This means you can use your mouse and keyboard on the tablet instead of your fingertips.
The feature also means you can drag and drop files instead of having to rely on AirDrop. It has a lot of potential, although it's not yet available through the macOS Monterey Developer Beta program.
