For an indie city builder, Manor Lords has already exceeded the expectations of many, and the developers couldn’t be more thankful. Since its early access release on Steam and Xbox platforms, the game has garnered much praise and also achieved two notable milestones. Not many expected a city builder game to reach the milestones of 1 million units sold and reaching the top 10 Steam players within its first week of release.
Manor Lords – Before You Buy
Although it is a city builder, Manor Lords takes you back to the Middle Ages, where you have to rule your land as a lord. The game features complex city building and tactical battles on a larger scale, which is one of the main pillars. The game mechanics are one of the main reasons why Manor Lords reached two milestones in its opening week.
With Fallout 4 getting new updates and games like Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, Apex Legends and others already dominating the Steam charts, it’s hard for a game to crack the top 10. However, publisher Hooded Horse has confirmed that Manor Lords has sold over 1 million copies and reached a peak of 170,000 concurrent Steam players.
