Medieval RTS Manor Lords has been one of the most anticipated titles on Steam in recent months. After the game’s launch, the publisher has now confirmed that it’s having a lot of success, breaking the seven-figure mark on April 28th.
Manor Lords breaks records with one million copies sold on launch day on Steam…
On its X account, publisher Hooded Horse announced that Manor Lords has already sold over a million copies. This is especially impressive considering the game itself launched on Friday, April 26, just a day prior to this announcement. According to the post, Manor Lords has also reached a peak concurrent player count of over 170,082, with 155,101 players playing the title at the time of writing. The post also claims that this is the highest peak concurrent player count ever "for a city builder (or for other genres like GSG/4x/colony sim)."
Manor Lords is still only in Early Access and is one of the most successful titles to be released in this category recently. The title reportedly had over 3 million wishlists on Steam the week before launch and 2.5 million wishlists in January. Now it has broken into the Steam top ten.
In a recent Steam post announcing the game's early access launch, Hooded Horse CEO Tim Bender thanked players for their support of the game over the years. He also confirmed that the publisher "will offer those 25% discounts often and give you plenty of opportunities to get the game later."
