Mark has been writing since he was 10 and publishing since he was 14. He started writing for the web in 2004 and has worked for a variety of technical websites.

Mark has done freelance work for several British newspapers, worked on a BBC radio children's programme and appeared on a BBC television programme about journalism. Fortunately, the programme has disappeared without trace.
From 2007 to 2013, he was the managing editor of makeuseof.com. He wrote an eBay industry column from 2004-2005, was published in multiple print publications, worked for sites including PC Magazine and Lifehacker, and even found time to teach English to German students.
Mark is now the owner and CEO of the writing company "Obsessed With Books", formerly known as "Highland Cow Media".
