The hero shooter that pits iconic Marvel characters against each other offered exclusive closed beta codes via popular streaming platform Twitch. However, according to an apology posted on X (formerly Twitter), the website was not ready to handle the "overwhelming enthusiasm of players", resulting in numerous failed code claims.
To address the issue, the developers have implemented temporary measures. Players who may have encountered errors when attempting to claim CBT codes have been advised to revisit the Twitch Drops page and try again. Additionally, the team has updated their codes with regional information to help PlayStation 5 players claim the correct code for their respective regions.
The Marvel Rivals team also addressed concerns about the limited daily availability of codes, confirming that the daily code quota will reset every day. This gives players multiple chances to claim a code without having to watch another 60 minutes of drop-enabled streams on Twitch. The only catch, due to the game’s first come, first served process, is that players will still have to wait a full day to claim the code if the website goes down again.
