It's time for another Marvel Snap OTA update, so get ready to shuffle some decks, remove others, and build a whole bunch of new decks.
This OTA is CRAZY! HUGE NERFS & BIG BUFFS! [Marvel Snap OTA]
Here are all the changes in today's, August 15, Marvel Snap update.
Arishem, a nagging issue that had been around for several weeks before the Cassandra Nova direct counter was added to the game, has been mitigated in this update by increasing the total number of random cards shuffled into the deck from 12 to 15. He'll still be playable, but should be a little less taxing to deal with.
"'The Judge' to his peers, Arishem has certainly been presiding over Snap for the past month," Second Dinner said in the patch notes. "Its play rate at launch was unprecedented in the game's history, and we're happy to see a card we wanted to make fun and strong clearly resonate with so many players. We gave Arishem some time to see how things would stabilize and whether Cassandra Nova would impact its performance, and things evened out a bit. However, its play rate is still a bit higher than we'd like for a given archetype, even given Arishem's inherent randomness, so we're taking a step to reduce how often the deck has access to its strongest cards, like Loki and Blob, and to better challenge players to improvise with the cards Arishem generates."
