MAXOAK 50,000mAh Powerbank Review
These days, you can hardly walk a mile without encountering a power outlet (or at least a USB port). But for those rare moments when you’re away from a power source, it’s handy to have a spare battery on hand in case your laptop or smartphone runs out of juice.
While there’s no shortage of options on the market, there aren’t many that can keep you going for days on end. Not so with the MaxOak 50000mAh, an absolutely massive and rugged charger that tries to be the jack of all trades when it comes to charging gadgets on the go. Its power comes at the cost of its sheer size, and the charging ports aren’t exactly speedy, but if you need a ton of power, this is the battery to get.
First of all, this thing is a tank. At 2.77 pounds, it weighs several times more than most smartphones and nearly as much as most compact laptops. It also measures 8.1 x 5.3 x 1.3 inches (HWD), making it a hefty behemoth to lug around. One small detail regarding the MaxOak’s weight is that it’s not balanced, with the side without the ports carrying a lot more weight than the side with the various ports. It’s not a significant detail, but it’s one you’ll notice over time.
