Maya Rudolph is returning to Saturday Night Live next season to play Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, something she says "feels way bigger than me."

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Rudolph was asked by guest host RuPaul Charles if she would be back next season. "It's interesting that you bring this up, because no one's asked me," she joked.

Deadline reported in July that Rudolph would return to the long-running NBC show to play Harris. Rudolph cleared her schedule, most notably producing season three of the Apple comedy series Loot, so she could be in New York for the next season of SNL.
