Unfortunately, nude photos are the most normal thing in the world for anyone with a smartphone. Meta wants to do something about it.

In a blog post on Thursday, the Instagram owner unveiled a new AI-powered tool that detects nude photos and blurs them. The tool is enabled by default for anyone under 18, but can be turned on by anyone in Instagram's settings.
Senders of nude photos will be reminded to be careful about who they send nude photos to, and given the option to not send the photos if they change their mind.
And even better: the images are processed on your own device and not on Meta's servers.
