Microsoft on Wednesday announced “drastic” improvements to Outlook's shared calendars.
How to Use the New Microsoft Outlook Calendar – Beginners Course
Microsoft Outlook users will see improvements in reliability and sync latency for shared calendars. Microsoft describes the new improvements as "the biggest change to Outlook for Windows since its initial release in 1997."
“This is one of those improvements that should be invisible because it fixes problems but doesn't change the core functionality of the product,” Microsoft wrote in a post announcing the improvements.
"Calendars sync faster and we've eliminated all reliability issues when managing a calendar. Delegates may only notice things running more smoothly, but not any specific, obvious changes."
