Microsoft announces new Surface Duo 2 with better cameras
Microsoft said the Android-powered Surface Duo 2 has a combined 8.3-inch display and a 90Hz refresh rate for faster scrolling than the previous generation. Additionally, the new foldable phone will come in a white (Glacier) or black (Obsidian) finish and will come with a much-improved triple-camera system, including a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
The Surface Duo 2 will also feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, 8GB of RAM, a range of 128GB to 512GB of storage and a 1,892×1,344-pixel resolution per 5.8-inch AMOLED screen display. Microsoft said the new Gorilla Glass Victus covering the displays is more durable than the previous Duo model.
As reported in Federal Communications Commission documents earlier this week, the Surface Duo 2 will also include 5G support, Wi-Fi 6, and near-field communication.
