According to a post on Microsoft's Education Blog , the new operating system is called Windows 11 SE, created based on feedback from teachers and school IT administrators. These educational tools support a wide range of learning and third-party apps in a low-cost device.
Optimized for education, Windows 11 SE simplifies the UI and removes certain features to avoid distracting students. It supports the Microsoft Office 365 suite of apps, including Word, Powerpoint, and OneDrive.
The operating system also features online reading tools built directly into the browser, such as Immersive Reader, which reads text aloud to improve reading comprehension.
