Surface Laptop 4 Review (13" & 15") – Make No Mistake!
The Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 is a small but significant step forward for the mid-range laptop, although you wouldn’t immediately notice it. Even Surface fans will be hard-pressed to tell the difference between the new model and its predecessor. The size, weight, and screen size of the Laptop 4 are virtually identical to previous models.
Inside, it’s a different story. The Surface Laptop 4 has new AMD and Intel processor options that promise not only a boost in performance, but also in battery life. That should help the Laptop 4 compete with the likes of Dell’s XPS 13 and Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 line, but can it keep up with Apple’s MacBook Air?
The Surface Laptop 4 looks nearly identical not only to the previous Surface Laptop 3, but also to the original Surface Laptop, which came out in spring 2017. And yet, the Laptop 4 looks thoroughly modern. That’s the sign of great design.
