Microsoft is testing a new night mode for its Xbox Series consoles as part of its Alpha Skip-Ahead insider program.
Microsoft tests night mode for Xbox consoles
The announcement was made on the company's Xbox Wire news blog, which detailed Night Mode's features and upcoming fixes.
According to the post, Night Mode allows players to dim and filter their screen, as well as control the brightness level of the console and controller LED. HDR can also be blocked. HDR affects the brightness level of a screen by improving detail and contrast.
Users can set the console's blue light filter to turn on or off at sunrise and sunset, or set the feature to follow a different schedule.
