When it comes to generating images using AI, Midjourney is becoming the preferred tool to get the job done. The platform has been making changes to its AI image maker and rolling out new versions to improve the tool and generate better looking images. The latest version, 5.1, is out now and has been set as the default for all Midjourney users, making the tool better at understanding prompts, forming opinions on its own, and delivering higher consistency and sharper images.

There is also a new RAW mode that is designed to make Midjourney less "opinionated". In this post we will explain what this new mode is and how you can use it in Midjourney to create your own artwork.
The latest version 5.1 of Midjourney is designed to generate high quality images with shorter prompts as input. In order to make the tool generate images with smaller prompts, the developers made Midjourney v5.1 more "opinionated" than version v5.0, making it more similar to v4.0.
If you don’t want to make Midjourney less “opinionated”, there is a new RAW mode that you can activate to produce images in an “unopinionated” way. When using RAW mode, the results you get are similar to Midjourney’s V5.0, meaning you have to add longer prompts to get the tool to produce images that look more like you imagined them.
