The storyline in Mind Beneath follows a largely linear path through each chapter. However, starting in Chapter 3, that path will begin to branch out as you decide to join either the Screening team or the Ops team. Work-related activities will change for Jason depending on what you choose, but it won’t necessarily affect which ending you get.
What really impacts the ending you get is the choice you give Jason to make near the end of Chapter 5, when he’s confronted on a rooftop by OWL and its masked leader, Grandma. At one point, Situ approaches Jason, offering him her gun from earlier and begging him to join OWL if he wants to continue the fight to defeat Vision and Project Sleeping God, and to protect Fran and herself.
