If you’re a parent of a child between the ages of 5 and 13, you’re probably familiar with a game called Minecraft. It’s a brick-building “sandbox” game available on multiple platforms, but for kids, it’s more than just a video game.
Minecraft lets kids flex their creative muscles by building and exploring. It also lets them interact with others on a social level. In fact, they seem to develop a whole other language that sounds increasingly foreign to parents.
Even if you have no idea what half the things they're talking about are about, it's easy to see that they're having a good time. While Minecraft doesn't seem to be all that violent – aside from the occasional exploding sheep or pig – you don't have to worry about it too much.
