Charity Chip-In returns to Monopoly GO in the rare event of a double tournament day. Early on April 15th, Foam for Funds began with the usual tournament rewards, but was replaced 12 hours later by Charity Chip with the exact same rewards and milestones.

Monopoly GO tournaments typically last at least 24 hours, and can last up to 48 hours if the milestones are larger. This may be the first time players have played two tournaments in one day, which is great if you can play both, but less great if you can’t fit in two play sessions in one day. Given the time and luck it takes to reach all 30 milestones, it seems nearly impossible for most players to complete two tournaments in one day.

It is unclear whether the 12-hour Foam for Funds event followed by Charity Chip-In will herald a new normal, with all tournaments now lasting 12 hours and two tournaments per day.

Developer Scopely often adjusts the event schedule to accommodate special events, such as a Treasure Hunt or Peg-E Prize Drop. Since April 16th is the start of the Anniversary Treasures event, the upcoming Treasure Hunt, this new schedule could be in preparation for that.
