After nearly six months of waiting, today we finally got a full look at what Monster Hunter Wild will look like. Capcom showed off the dynamic world, new monsters, and upgrades for weapon handling.

We already knew that Monster Hunter Wild would feature massive, changing environments that would add unique elements to your hunt, including in-game events and weather changes that alter your surroundings. But during PlayStation State of Play in May, Capcom showed off how each monster and even the world itself would seamlessly flow together.

When you’re on the hunt in Monster Hunter Wilds, encountering monsters will allow you to immediately launch applicable quests without having to go through any extra steps. This also plays into how dynamic each location will be, as each ecosystem and the changes they can experience while you’re on an expedition will also alter how other characters and creatures behave. And like in previous Monster Hunter games, the way monsters interact with each other in the wild is also being expanded.

Most of the monsters shown off in the May 30 gameplay reveal were relatively straightforward, low-level classes that you’ll encounter plenty of, save for the menacing fanged Doshaguma. But the focus should be on your new mount, the raptor-like Seikret, who’ll carry you through various environments and aid you on hunts with unique abilities.
