Unboxing the Verizon-Exclusive, 5G-Ready Motorola Moto Z3
The Motorola Moto Z3 is one of the legions of phones that make up the mid-range tier of Android devices. It doesn’t try to compete with the latest Samsung and Apple flagships, but is a more affordable alternative for those who don’t need or want the most high-end smartphones.
It does, however, have a twist in the form of Moto Mods. These are attachable accessories that add various features to the phone, whether it’s a stereo speaker, a compact projector, or a 5G connection. The Moto Mods make this device worth a second look, even if you’re the type who normally buys top-end flagships.
The Moto Mods add a ton of extra capabilities to this phone, but they also jack up the price. For the purpose of this review, we’re focusing on the Moto Z3 as a standard phone, and consider it a mid-range device that just happens to be customizable. That said, we’ll talk about one of the most talked-about Moto Mods: the Moto Z3 is the first phone to be compatible with Verizon’s 5G network, so we’d be remiss if we didn’t at least mention the 5G module.
