The young international selection of MOUZ continues to win in CS2 and with a second 3-0 final under their belt, they achieved something the organization has never achieved before: becoming number one on the HLTV rankings.

Shortly after defending their ESL Pro League title, MOUZ were immediately back in action at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade, an event with less prestige but nevertheless a significant $500,000 prize pool and some big-name opponents.

Ultimately, siuhy and co. only dropped one map during their four-series journey, beating BetBoom Team, Virtus.pro, Heroic, and Team Spirit en route to the title. The destruction of donk and his merry men will undoubtedly live long in the memory, as it is rare to see Spirit suffer such an easy defeat in their current form.

The series began on Vertigo, currently widely regarded as Spirit’s weakest map in the pool, and the closely contested 13-11 affair in favor of MOUZ suggested a battle was brewing. The margins were as close as they could be, with the final round coming down to an unfortunate falling death on Spirit’s side of the chopper.
