After nearly six years of collaboration, MrBeast has announced its split from Night Media, a talent management agency that works with numerous creators. The decision is said to be due to Donaldson's desire to gain more control over his company and the creative process.
MrBeast's career is officially over
The announcement was first reported Monday by Semafor, which was told by reliable sources that Night Media "will no longer be [MrBeast's] primary talent management agency." MrBeast is apparently seeking more control over his multimillion-dollar company, which reportedly generates more than $600 million a year. Sources at Night Media told Semafor that the company expects to continue working with MrBeast, even though he will no longer be his exclusive talent manager.
MrBeast has been working with Night Media since 2018 and has generally had a fruitful relationship with the company. However, the creator has slowly been distancing himself from the company (which Semafor attributes to Night Media’s mishandling of MrBeast’s food chain), though that doesn’t seem to have hampered Night Media’s growth as an influencer-focused brand. This year, the company acquired the network “The Roost” and with it shows from Ethan and Hila Klein, Theo Von, Ludwig and many more. The company also owns LFM, the talent management agency that covers some of the biggest names in the industry, including Kai Cenat.
MrBeast currently has nearly 260 million followers on YouTube alone, with videos regularly surpassing the 100 or 200 million mark. He has consistently produced hugely successful content over the past few years and is apparently only looking to grow, which would explain his decision to take complete control over what and who appears in his videos.
