The Magic: The Gathering mechanic Freerunning, featured in the Universes Beyond Assassin's Creed set, takes advantage of the world's cunning freelancers for hire.
Assassin's Creed Lore for MTG Players | Universes Beyond ep. 2
Freerunning is the new face MTG mechanic from the Universes Beyond Assassin's Creed set. The ability provides an alternate cost to cast spells after the attack phase. The mechanic is a variation on Ninjutsu, where an assassin or your commander must deal combat damage during that turn to activate Freerunning.
Here are the rules for the MTG mechanism Freerunning.
Lowering the casting cost of a spell is always a benefit in MTG. This is especially true for Sorcery speed spells that benefit your hand, such as Assassin's Creed Uncommons, Eagle Vision, and Petty Larceny.
