Cute and ferocious animals have taken over the Limited Draft and Sealed Magic: The Gathering formats, with the Mouse archetype arguably the best Aggro build within Bloomburrow Draft.
The Complete Guide to Bloomburrow Prerelease and Draft | Magic: The Gathering Deck Building
This article should help you confidently head into Prerelease, Draft, and Sealed events at local game stores or via MTG Arena playing the Mouse archetype. Don’t miss our exclusive spreadsheet detailing every card in Bloomburrow that has been reviewed for Limited play, available to all MTG Madness subscribers.
The Bloomburrow Draft Mouse archetype is an aggressive, cheap build that uses targeting your creature via Valiant to your advantage. Of all the new MTG mechanics, Valiant is the strongest in the BLB Draft format in my opinion.
We’ve seen target your stuff in Limited before, where the archetypes were above average in success if you drafted the best cards. The Valiant mechanics offer additional flexibility in deck building instead of relying on a specific card. Of course, there are bombs within the Mouse archetype, such as Mabel, Heir to the Craglame, and Manifold Mouse. If I had to pick one after playing the Bloomburrow Early Access event, I’d say Manifold Mouse is the better Rare of the two.
