A new Call of Duty care package sent to content creators appears to confirm recent leaks about Kar98k's return in season four.

The Kar98k rifle was one of the original Warzone's truly dominant weapons, and leaks have been pointing to its return since last month. Now, with season four less than two weeks away, Activision is turning to content creators to drum up hype. The contents of the care package included a toy car with the number 98 on it, along with the letter K under a scratch. Car with a K and a 98. Get it? The Car-98 is for the Kar98k. It's not very subtle or mysterious, but I think it gets the job done.
Previous leaks have suggested that the SPAS-12 shotgun will also be making its way into season four, marking the return of another fan-favorite weapon in the franchise. In the original Modern Warfare 2 in 2009, the SPAS-12 was a secondary weapon that could easily be equipped in place of a pistol, and it was quite powerful.
The return of Kar98k and SPAS-12 is another attempt to reinvigorate the series with nostalgia, as many look back on the original Warzone and its weapons and maps with fond memories.
