A Call of Duty game simply isn’t the same without perks. Originally introduced in 2007’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, perks personalize the gameplay experience by adding buffs to the player, and crafting the right perk combo is key across different modes and game types.

Modern Warfare 3 perks are a little different this year. Perks are presented as gear, such as vests, gloves, boots, and equipment. It starts with the choice of a vest, and then the rest can be seriously chosen.

The type of gear corresponds to the perk, so boots are about movement, gloves are about reload speed, and gear protects you from explosives. But the choice is yours, so it's up to you to decide how you play.
