The answer to the clue "Natural Band-Aids, You Might Say" from the NYT Mini Crossword Puzzle of October 10 is "SCABTS". Scabs are, in a way, natural band-aids, because they are a dried blood clot that forms to protect tissue.
When I read this clue, I first thought it meant a plant that could be used to cover a wound. It wasn't until I had solved part of the crossword that I was able to guess the answer and realized I was wrong. Although it wasn't too difficult, it was still tricky, so I give this clue a four out of five.
