Google recently began rolling out a Nearby Share feature, the Android version of Airdrop, which lets you share content with a friend or family member who’s nearby. So you can share photos, videos, and other files to any nearby device without needing a special app.

Nearby Share is currently available on all Google Pixel phones (Pixel/XL, Pixel 2/XL, Pixel 3/XL, Pixel 4/XL, Pixel 3a/XL, Pixel 4a) and select Samsung devices. You can check if your device has the Nearby Share feature via Quick Settings or the Settings app.
