We purchased the Anker Nebula Capsule II so that our expert reviewer could thoroughly test and review it. Read on for our full product review.
With such success surrounding the crowdfunding of the Anker Nebula Capsule last year (the company successfully crowdfunded an all-in-one mini projector the size of a soda can), Anker apparently got right to work on launching its successor. The Nebula Capsule II projector launched shortly thereafter, hitting the market in early 2019.
This second model still runs on Android OS and now features a higher resolution, brighter output (720p and 200 ANSI lumens respectively), a more powerful 8-watt speaker and Google Assistant integration.
Aside from its predecessor, the Anker Nebula Capsule, we haven’t seen another projector quite like the Nebula Capsule II in terms of construction. At about 6 inches tall and 3.25 inches in diameter, it’s easy to transport in a bag, purse, or backpack. It weighs just over a pound and a half, and seems sturdy enough to toss in a bag (though there’s a risk that the glass over the recessed lens could scratch with particularly rough handling).
