NRG have made some major changes to their VALORANT roster, but 100 Thieves’ Boostio isn’t convinced he should bench his former Evil Geniuses teammate and 2023 Champions MVP Demon1 just yet.

The VALORANT world has been discussing the move ever since VALORANT News reported that Boostio briefly discussed NRG's roster swaps on-stream on June 9th. During the stream in question, 100T's IGL told his Twitch streaming chat that he would not have benched Demon1 in the new NRG team that featured Victor, crashies, Ethan, and the return of FNS and s0m. Instead, Victor was reportedly Boostio's primary choice to bench.
While Boostio admitted that it made sense for Demon1 to be benched based on his recent performances at Kickoff and Split One, he claimed that it’s not a good move for NRG in the long run. “They just don’t have enough firepower,” the VALORANT star explained. “Their firepower is super weak. The whole of NRG just has this negative aura.”
Demon1 was the rising star on everyone's radar when he won Champions 2023 alongside Boostio and their then-EG teammates. This season, however, the MVP has fallen into a slump in his current NRG team. Despite this, Boostio still has a lot of faith in Demon1's abilities, comparing him to highly regarded duelists like Leviatán's aspas and 100T's Cryocells.
