Netflix is once again testing a TikTok-like feature, this time aimed at the service's younger audience.

The feature, called Kids Clips, is rolling out to some Netflix users starting this week, Bloomberg reported. Kids Clips is currently being tested on the Netflix iOS app and will feature short clips from the streaming giant’s library of children’s TV shows and movies. It’s meant to work similarly to the company’s Fast Laughs feature, which plays short snippets of content to attract viewers.
The most noticeable difference between Kids Clips and Fast Laughs is that the former plays content in landscape (horizontal) view, more similar to watching a TV show on your phone. Netflix is also limiting the number of clips that appear at once to 10-20. The company plans to add new clips every day, and they’ll all be pulled from shows and movies available on the streaming platform, as well as future shows.
Kids Clips is the latest feature Netflix has launched to reduce the decision-making process for users. It previously launched Play Something, an option that randomly selects content to stream to your TV. You can then “change the channel” by either switching to the next option or starting the show or movie to continue playing.
