Netflix has decided not to renew the comedy series Unstable, created by Rob Lowe and his son John Owen Lowe, for a third season. The series was originally set to premiere in March 2023 and return for a second season on August 1, 2024. The producers behind the series are already looking for a new home for the series.

News of the cancellation broke on Friday, October 11. A few days later, John Owen Lowe, who co-created Unstable with his father and Victor Fresco and stars as Jackson Dragon, posted a thank you message on Instagram to the cast, crew, and Netflix.
"I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for the incredible experience we've had making Unstable," John Owen shared. "To the cast, I love you. To the crew, I love you. To the fans, I love and appreciate you. So proud of us. This show rocks. Rocked? Rocked," he added.
The Holiday in the Wild actor continued: "And to Netflix, thank you. I don't have to work with my old man anymore. The greatest gift of all. Love you too."
