Game developer Hello Games has launched Update 3.85 of No Man Sky, titled Outlaws, in which players can live out their dreams of becoming space pirates.
No Man's Sky's Outlaws update lets players become space pirates
The update, which is rolling out today, adds a smuggling mechanic that allows players to obtain illegal products from outlaw systems and sell them for large amounts of in-game currency. In addition to the game mode, Update 3.85 brings many graphical changes and improves space combat with new features.
As a space pirate, players can accept new "procedurally generated missions" from Bounty Masters, where you'll terrorize your local galaxy. But as a space pirate, you'll have to compete with the Sentinels that protect these resources.
If you’d rather play lawful, players can instead defend settlements from pirate raids or engage in aerial combat with the improved space combat, which has been rebalanced for challenge and speed. New solar spaceships are available with unique features, according to Hello Games, but the developer didn’t say what they are.
