The upcoming version of Windows 11 will include an updated Microsoft Paint and Photos app with a more modern interface.
New Paint app in Windows 11 with image generation feature
Users can expect a cleaner design when using Paint and Photos on Windows 11, according to two new stock photos discovered on Microsoft's Unsplash page. Bleeping Computer reports that the updated features in Paint include new icons, a simplified toolbar, and rounded color options instead of square ones.
As for the Microsoft Photos app, Windows Latest reports that Windows 11 will bring a new photo editing experience where the editing tools float above the image you’re working on. This experience is similar to that found in mobile apps for Android or iOS.
This will be the first significant redesign of Microsoft Paint in a while. Microsoft Paint has been included in Windows' operating systems since Windows 1.0 was released in 1985. It is based on a program from ZSoft called PC Paintbrush and supports essential image editing and drawing tools.
